On the final day of our Scotland Summer Camp we went for a unforgettable ice climbing experience at the world’s largest indoor ice climbing wall in Kinlochleven. Check out some of the pictures from this fantastic activity.
The first Hillsborough Explorer Unit Summer Camp since 2004 took place this summer. Between 25th August & 1st September we took ten explorer scouts up to Scotland to complete their Chief Scout Platinum Award expeditions. From our base camp at Spean Bridge, near Fort William, the two expedition groups walked a 3-day section of the the West Highland Way, wild camping along the route. Plans are already in place for next year’s summer camp which will be at Walesby Forest in Nottinghamshire.
This week’s activity was rifle shooting at the H.Q. After a few practice rounds we had a competition to see who could pick up the highest score on the rifle targets. The title of Hillsborough Explorers sharp shooter went to Joe. Well done!
